Overview
We provide supported accommodation which means that residents will have their own room that is entirely self-contained; each having its own kitchen and en-suite bathroom. All the rooms have recently been refurbished and our visitors are invariably impressed with the standard of accommodation we offer.

In addition to the facilities that residents choose to have in their own rooms, there is a TV Lounge and a garden at Canterbury House and a large shared-kitchen area at York House where people can practice their cooking skills and share a meal if they choose. All residents will have their own front door key and are to come and go as they wish.

Description
We are able to offer a supported housing service to people with a wide range of mental health or personal social difficulties tailored to the needs of each person. Our aim is to promote maximum independence by enabling people to move over a period of time and with support to the type of accommodation that best suits their individual requirements.

We provide a stable and safe environment where people are able to gain in confidence and work with agencies able to facilitate their move to independent living where this can be achieved. We work on the basis of facilitating people’s ability to undertake tasks for themselves in order to prevent unhelpful dependency and “institutionalization” that are so frequently characteristics of many care environments.
